Probably a tad too late for a reply, but this'll have to suffice til I can find the AIMP 2 cat.
Been using AIMP since as far as I can remember with occasional jaunts to other players. I even owned the much touted Winamp Pro version with every possibly option you could want or think of for media. However, although AIMP isn't perfect, yet, it is pretty much leaps and bounds better than the next best Media program, which btw, is NOT Winamp, it's more likely a toss up between foobar 2000, spider player (same audio engine as AIMP), jangle, Jetaudio, XMPlay, J River and Winyl. Personal preferences in customizations are the only true deciding factor. Winamp is, "nice" and extremely functional, but it has seriously become a bag o tricks really with some serious overbloatation going on. Trying to run Winamp while gaming is like pulling teeth, but just about any of the other top 10 Audio players are practically invisible.
If AIMP 3.0 gets here and they finally decide to make the interface zoomable so the text isn't so small I don't think that there will be another audio player that can touch it for perfection.
And for Video, Zoom player can't be touched.

Don't bother for the WinAmp skin. Anyone who has tried AIMP 2 won't switch back.

AIMP2 actually has 2 libraries, one can be sorted by genre/artist/etc or you can choose the "Dynamic Library" style.

sergiu13x...
I use AIMP2 with CD Art Display.
All you have to do is configure CDAD as if for Winamp, in other words select Winamp as the player but apply the path to your AIMP2 exe instead.
Then, in AIMP2, ensure that CDAD Starter appears & is loaded in the plugins & voila...it should all work!
Look at mine, running happily!

KIHOS...
This looks a very nice skin but every time I tried to apply it my AIMP2 just hangs & crashes!
